Digital Village

For all the internet’s benefits, its reach in many developing countries remains limited due to cost, scalability, power outages and educational barriers. To help alleviate this problem, ATC Nigeria using its communications infrastructure in an innovative way by building Digital Villages near its tower sites to bring broadband connectivity to communities we serve.

ATC Nigeria’s Digital Village comprises of a twenty (20) feet retrofitted container equipped with workstations, computers, internet connection, projector, scanner, photocopier and other ICT facilities that use the uninterrupted power supply and broadband link from our sites to provide local communities with free education and training in Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) to increase computer literacy and help create digitally empowered societies.

The Stories Shaping Our World

ATC Nigeria in its effort to provide infrastructure that fosters innovation, has gone above and beyond to establish more than 60 Digital Villages (DVs) across 25 states in Nigeria. To ensure impact and sustainability we have, since 2017 partnered with organizations and governments who share our vision to ensure that Nigerians have access to acquire Digital Skills for free.

In the last 2 years, over 1,500 persons have benefited from the Digital Village (DV) program. Meet some of the stars.
